Most people think they have made it, when they don’t have to do things for themselves. We pay people to do things for us, now that we think we have made it.

Often when you hear people talking like this, you feel like saying, “made what?” It is only temporal, you can’t take it with you. No one yet has got into heaven with a suitcase. Anyway let us assure you if you have made it in the world, you haven’t necessarily made it in God’s eyes. He is looking for those who are successful in their walk with Him where He is the star of their walk.

God has a way of turning things around, to the world that does not make sense. Matthew 20 verse 26 “Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be a servant”

More to the fact a servant’s heart, be willing to serve others you are leading as a services to them.

It is never do as I say, it is do as I do, demonstrate love, mentor responsibility.

JOSHUA 22 verse 5 “Love the Lord your God, walk in all His ways, obey His commands, and serve Him with all your heart and all your soul” (serve with all of yourself and not just with lip service)

1 CORINTHIANS 12 verse 5 “there are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord.”

A spiritual gift is given to each of us, so we can help each other.

True servant-hood seeks the well being of the one you are serving. It does not seek personal gain.

Service is an act of humility.

MARK 10 verse 45 “Even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve others and to give His Life as a ransom for many“

Our Lord and Our Friend came to serve us by dying in our place, He paid the price for our transgressions that separated from Him.

What a pleasure it is to offer ourselves to our Lord as an offering of service.

To serve in the Great Commission of bring lost souls back to knowledge of our Lord and our King.
