Is it really as easy as that, Ask, Believe, Receive. Well these ‘Words came from Jesus Himself. Our faith is in Him, because of what He achieved for us from the Cross.
Biblical Faith involves far more than believing that Jesus lived and died, and far more than our belief about Him.
The writers of The New testament, were trying to impress what it was to truly express, what they meant by believing. Sometimes believing takes little effort, and can be easily dismissed as ‘I believe that’.
But Biblical Faith involves more than just believing the stories about Our Lord and Our Friend. So the early Christians used the preposition “en” in conjunction with “believe”, a construction of words scholars today call the ‘Mystical Dative’.
To believe in Jesus involves a personal investment in what we know of Him.
To Believe in Jesus, To rely on Him.
To rely on His promises.
To rest the full weight of our convictions and hope on the Redemption God The Father offers is in Him.
To know Him as Our Lord and Our Friend, Who has promised us, He will never leave us or forsake us.
Many can say We believe, but Biblical believing is an investment in that belief, we need to be a real conviction of Who, Our Lord and Our Friend truly is. The Christ, Our Redeemer, and The source of everything we need.
Galatians 2 verse 20: “And I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life i now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me”.
Yes it really is as easy as, Ask, Believe, Receive, because He made it that way for any ‘whosoever’ who dares to believe Him without reservation.
God Bless.
