Insights Into ‘1 John’

1 John

John writes to assure believers of the certainty of their faith and to refute heretical doctrines teaching that Jesus was not fully human and fully divine.

For three years, John lived with Jesus, being with Him talking, walking and have meals. John knew and believed in Who Jesus really was, John even saw Jesus’ transfiguration, into His Glorified state

A section of the people at the time, false teachers an early form of Gnosticism claim that the physical bodies are evil and that God would never lower Himself to come to earth in the form of a man. John has to refute them.

John writes to believers because he knows that Jesus, The Son of God, came to earth in the flesh. False teachers, false spirits and Antichrist spirits can be identified easily, they deny that Jesus is The Christ.

John an aged man by this time, enthusiastically proclaims the wonderful and incredible life Jesus invites us into. This rich, full and everlasting life begins when we accept God’s invitation to enter into relationship with Him.

God has invited us to “Know” Him, and His Spirit lives inside us. His Spirit the Holy Spirit will lead us to follow His commandments, which can be defined in one word ‘Love’.

When we confess our sins to Christ Jesus, He will cleanse us by the shedding of His blood on Calvary. He gives us everything we need to live a godly life,

The world is in darkness somehow under the power of evil, the evil one Satan. But God is ‘Light’, Jesus, the ‘Light’ has come into the world to rescue us into the light, and we can ‘Walk In The Light’ even in this world of darkness. One day, we will see this Light face to face and be with Him for ever and ever in eternity, living in His complete love, where there is no darkness of evil.

God Bless.
