Revelation Of The Christ

Revelation is a seed to be planted in us. because revelation must be more than head knowledge to us.

We all know the passage in scripture Matthew 16 verse 17; Jesus is responding to Peters confession about Him.

“And Jesus responded, “Simon son of Jonah, you are blessed because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven.”

Peter had been given the revelation, but it wasn’t planted in His life at that time, because later in verse 22, Peter contradicts what The Christ {Jesus} said.

“Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, ‘Oh no. Lord! This will never  happen to You.”

Peter received the Revelation of Who Jesus was, but did not understand what Jesus as the Christ came to do. Peter was actually saying I believe you on one hand, but Lord you are wrong about yourself on the other. Peter was rebuking The Messiah, with his own religious opinion. Peter had revelation given to him by God The Father, about Who Jesus was, but no revelation about what He came to do, and how He was going to do it.

16 verse 23; Jesus who is The Messiah, which was confirmed by Peter’s confession, rebukes Peter:

“But He turned and told Peter, ‘Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me because you’re not thinking about God’s concerns, but mans’.”

Peter and the other disciples still had a lot to learn from being in the Presence of The Messiah. Jesus acknowledges this in verse 20:

“And He gave the disciples orders to tell no one that He was the Messiah.”

Why because, even though the revelation was out, there was still much to learn about why and what The Messiah came to do. Revelation without knowledge, can lead to misinformation.

Full understanding could not be received until, Jesus The Messiah had die on the Cross and proclaimed the Words, ‘It is finished’.

Matthew 16 verse 24: “Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone wants to come with me, he must deny himself, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

Greater Revelations comes when we accept what He came to do as The Messiah, to die in our place, so we through Repentance and Acceptance, can be restored to Fellowship with God, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit., and The Holy Spirit comes into our lives, As our comforter and Helper.

Then Christ Jesus, {Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend} tells us, we will be my witness to the ends of the earth, Acts 1 verse 8:

Revelation without being planted into the faith garden of our lives, from which the fruit of that Revelation comes, might only be personal opinion. Revelation that is planted, in the inner being of our lives, where The Living water of The Holy Spirit resides, is The Revelation Our Lord and Our Friend wants us to convey, to our communities, to our neighboring communities, and to the ends of the earth. It Is Revelation that has become substance to us, and not just head knowledge.

God Bless.
