Faith In Action ‘Kingdom Invasion’

Kingdom Invasion. Like to think of it as bringing Jesus kingdom to a lost and dying world.

Jesus begins His Kingdom invasion in Galilee. {Luke Chapters 3 to 6}

Jesus casts out demons and heals the sick. The fisherman Peter, James and John had a fruitless night fishing, Jesus send them back out, and they bring back a miraculous catch. Jesus gives the fisherman a new calling for their lives as catchers of people.

Jesus selects His disciples, and once back from this selection, Jesus shares the truths of The Kingdom with the crowds of people who have gathered to see Him.

Jesus preaches in the temple {Luke 4 verse 18 and 19}. It is no coincidence that Jesus reads from Isaiah 61: “The Spirit of the Lord God is on me to bring good news to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and freedom to the prisoners.”

Jesus is alluding to the Year of Jubilee, the year every 50 years when slaves would be set free, debts would be cancelled and land would be returned to it original owners.

Jesus is saying He is Who Isaiah was talking about, He is the Captive Freer and the Jubilee Fulfiller and Fulfiller of the many promises God had spoken over the centuries.

Jesus came to set us free from sin and all it terrible consequences. Jesus was invading the kingdom of the world with His Kingdom. Any whosoever’ from the world system which is a fallen system, can come to this Kingdom. John 3 verse 16.

We become Kingdom of God people, right here where we are, and await the full coming of His Kingdom in the time to come. We are Kingdom people living in the world but not of it.

Oh! that we let His Kingdom invade every area of our lives, and walk as He intended us to walk when He created us.

God Bless.
