A New Day Dawning

God’s first creation, Adam and Eve were in the garden hiding, after they fell into sin {wrong-doing against what God asked them not to do}. God sought them out as they shamefully trembled among the plants. God shares with Adam and Eve the curse they had ushered in.

Generations later, Jesus’ disciples cowered fearfully behind locked doors. Jesus seeks out His disciples, He shares what His death and resurrection had ushered in, the Holy Spirit, He exhaled and suddenly everything was different.

A new day was dawning, it is a recreation. In the beginning at creation, God made Adam and Eve and breathed the breath of life in them. Listless flesh and bone came alive with God’s breath.

After His Resurrection, Jesus breathed the breath of life on His disciples, His Spirit brought their dead hearts to life and our dead hearts to life. Our hearts are filled with God’s very Spirit. He has come as close as He can possibly be.

John 20 verse 19: “in the evening of that first day of the week, the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because of their fear of the Jews. Then Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them, ‘Peace to you’.”

V20: “Having said this, He showed them His hands and His side. So the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.”

V21: “Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace to you! As the Father has sent me, I also send you’.”

V22: “After saying this, He breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’.”

The Spirit of God had come to live inside, to be our comforter and helper. God became ever present in our lives, no more hiding because of fear. Let the New day of what Jesus achieved by His death and resurrection, dawn i our lives like never before.

God Bless.
