2 Corinthians 1 Verse 20: “For every one of God’s promises is ‘Yes” in Him. Therefore the ‘Amen’ is also through Him for God’s glory through us.”
Amen in the transliteration of a Hebrew word that can mean either ‘Yes Indeed, it is so’, or ‘So be it’. Here in this verse the Apostle Paul is declaring that God’s promises are ‘Yes’ and ‘Amen’ in Jesus’
Paul never had an easy life he at times endured incredible hardships, enough to make him give up on life. Yet Paul found God to be ‘The God of all Comfort’ Comfort in knowing God’s promises are true.
Yes and Amen, God promises for comfort are true.
Comfort is often seen as what we receive from someone who pats us on the back and offers words of consolation. It is more than that because the Greek word for comfort is ‘paraklesis’ means much more. The word verbal root meaning is ‘To call to one’s side” or ‘to summons to one’s aid’
God is the God of all comfort, and this is a concept of one person being with another, a person who stands in the situation with you. in John 16 verse 7: Jesus tells us “The Counselor will come”, here Jesus uses the same Greek word to describe the ‘Holy Spirit’
Yes and Amen.God promises are true.
God is the awesome endurer with us. He is in our life with us, He is in us, He will continue to live in us and walking with us, until we are finally home with Him in eternity. Let us walk with Him in His promises, ‘Yes Indeed’ and ‘So be it’ as the place we want to stay.
