Scripture Verse Of The Week

Psalm 55 verse 22: ” Cast your burdens on the Lord, and He will support you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken”.

The assurance in our faith, and we can be assured, no matter what we go through He is with us.

Let look at who wrote this verse it was King David. He was declared to be “A man after God’s own heart” yet he stuff up, big time. David when he was writing this was distressed. A handful of people were causing him problems. We don’t really know who or what were causing these problems. They could have been personal or political or both. David knew that a wound this deep had to be given over immediately to the Lord. Psalm 55 verses 16 to 18.

V 16: “But I called to God, and The Lord will save me”,

V 17: “I com[lain and groaned morning, noon and night,”

V 18: “Though many are against me, He will redeem me from my battle unharmed”.

Regaining strength, he ended his writing with, “Cast your burdens on the Lord and he will support you”. This was a man that walk under the Old Covenant.

We today walk under the New Covenant {NT} and it is the verse this ministry uses: 1 Peter 5 verse 7 “Cast all your care on Him because He cares for you.”

God doesn’t play favorites, King David went through many things. The Word to remember is always ‘Through’.

Keep your eyes on Our Lord and Our Friend, and all He Is and all He has made available to us to walk in, and with Him we can always come ‘Through’.

God Bless. O F J
