Loving yourself is how God intended for You to live.
We were created in the image of God. God is Love, 1 John 4 verse 16 to 19.

Love refers to the very heart of God’s nature. God does not have love, He is Love. Love involves Grace, Mercy, Kindness, Goodness and benevolence of God towards all His creations, {you and I} John 3 verse 16:

Matthew 22 verses  37 to 40: First:”Love The Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and all your mind.

Second: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Unfortunately in the world a lot of people do love themselves, but they have no love for others, or let alone love for God. It is a shallow love, the love we were created in involves three parts heart, soul and Mind, because we were created in the imagine of God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit,

God did not say love your neighbor and think any less of yourself. He said to love your neighbor in exactly the same way that you love yourself, and to love yourself with the same kind of love you have for God.

Remember that God’s commandments are simply description of how the spiritual world works. If we do things that are contrary to what these commandments say, we are doing things outside the effectiveness of the love of God, which is {sin} a wrong-doing.

With this in mind, it should not be any surprise that life does not go well for us , when we break this commandment to love ourselves. Only when we love ourselves the way God requires  we can love others. Only when we love  ourselves we can truly love God, the way He intended.

Only when we love, in the way we were created to love, we will find, “All things are possible to them that believes.” Mark 9 verse 23:

Only when we love ourselves, the power of Satan to effect our lives loses.

Loving ourselves as God loves us, is central to our walk with Our Lord and Our Friend.
