Transformation Continuing “Edification”

Edification from a Biblical sense and put simply refers to the act of building up or strengthening us all spiritually. intellectually or morally.

Looking at 1 Corinthians 14 Verse 26: “All things must be done for edification”. Building up of ourselves and others.

Edification serves several key purposes with the Christ faith. It helps spiritual maturity and love and unity among other believers.

Ephesians 4 verse 15 and 16:

V15: “But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Him Who is the Head –Christ”.

v16: ” From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by proper working of each individual part”.

More over, edification is essential for personal spiritual growth 1 Thessalonians 5 verse 11: “therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing”.

The Word of God is the primary tool of edification and the early church understood it. Acts 20 verse 32:

“And now I commit you to God and to the message of His Grace, which is able to build you up and to give you an inheritance among all who are sanctified”.

Edification from The Word is important to our own life and the lives of the people we fellowship with and serve.

God Bless.
