Faith In Action ‘No Bargaining Needed

bargaining

It is often said in wars there are no atheists in foxholes. When the pressure comes, and that statement was about war, but there may be many difficult situations, where those who consider they don’t believe in God, cry our to Him, just in case He might exist.

But to many of us bargain with God, mostly when things go wrong, or when we think we have something to gain.

In The Book of Acts Chapter 8 verse 9 to 25: There was a man known as Simon The Sorcerer. Simon stand as a good example of all that is wrong with attempts to use God for our own gain. Simon though He could buy the things of God.

God does not need anything from us, never ever. So we have nothing with which to bargain with God. Yet He gives freely and generously to us over and over again.

The world system allows a barter system, if you do that for me, I will do that for you, nothing wrong with that in general, but Our Lord and Our Friend does not operate out of that system. There is nothing we have, that He didn’t give us in the first place. We have life, abilities, giftings, all which He created us with. They are given to us, to use so others will know Him.

As for doing something, so that we will get to heaven, there is nothing we can do, we only need to come to God, and say we want His help.

John 3 verse 16: “For God so loved the world in this way; He gave His One and Only Son, so that EVERYONE who BELIEVES in HIM will not perish but have eternal life.”

Matthew 11 verses 28 to 30: V28:”Come to Me, All of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

V29: ALL of you take up my yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves.”

V30: “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

There are no bargaining chips in the Kingdom of God, all that needed is BELIEF and acceptance through repentance that Christ Jesus is, Our Lord, Our Savor, Our Redeemer and Our Friend.

Then the Word will always be, Come to HIM in a time of our need.

God Bless.
