Living Under Grace

grace and mercy

I don’t know a good picture to describe it {religion} Looking up a dictionary, we find, it means: any practice, matter, etc, treated with devotion or keen conscientiousness. eg crusading for something.

Most people, would not call, their crusading, a religion, but it can be when it over takes and consume you.

Religion can bring a striving and can also bring a suppression, to people’s thinking and activities. Religion doesn’t work, if you want to be the person you are created to be.

When we put aside, all the people crusading for this, or crusading as a religious art form. than turn to look at any of the major monotheistic religions of the world. We will be surprised at what we see, we will see a system of thought where people perform certain acts or scheduled ceremonies, hoping to keep these systems of good works, fully paid so they can one day, they can be right with whoever they worship.

Christianity has some how been turned into a striving, to be good to make it. but Christianity is Grace based, all sinners can come, and be accepted, by the Grace being offered. To accept, requires repentance, which realizes there is nothing we can possibly do to deserve it, because we don’t. Acceptance, which requires, dying to our old ways of thinking, and living in the love and acceptance, of The God who created us.

Out of His Grace and Love He gave, John 3 verse 16:

“For God loved the world in this way; He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”

Grace based, will revolutionize, the way we do things, because we will do it out of love and acceptance, instead of doing it for acceptance. Truly something to ponder.

God Bless
