Sunday Encouragement

encourage

If this is your day for rest like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged by this wonderful verse from Galatians 5 verse 1: {Message Bible}

Galatians 5 Verse 1 {Message Bible}

“Christ has set us free to live free life. So take your stand! Never let anyone put a harness of slavery on you”.
The Apostle Paul was writing. because he was concerned for the Galatians Christians, which is a message to all Christians. Quite a number of these Christians in Galatia, converted out of gentile and pagan backgrounds, were being lured to forms of Judaism that would again, bring them under the law.

There is nothing we can do. to make God love us more, but forms of legalism suggest that we can add to all that Christ Jesus has done, by what we do.

We can live a disciplined Christian Life, without becoming legalistic. Justification bu faith, which comes through Salvation, is all about how we get right with God, and stay right because of what Christ Jesus has done. But the troubles in Galatia wasn’t so much about justification before God, it was more about justification before men, doing what is right to be seen doing it right.

This leads more to self righteousness, a holier than thou attitude, God doesn’t look a the deeds, it look at the heart, for it is out of the heart, where we allow The Holy Spirit resides. we are to do things for Our Lord and Our Friend. Not out of a works mentality, but out of our love for Him.

Galatians 5 verse 13 to 15: {Message Bible:

“it is absolutely clear that God has called you to a free life. Just make sure that you don’t use this freedom as an excuse to do whatever you want to do and destroy your freedom. Rather, use your freedom to serve one another in love; that’s how freedom grow. For everything we know about God’s Word is summed up in a single sentence; Love others as you love yourself. That’s an act of true freedom. If you bite and ravage each other. watch out— in no time at all you will be annihilating each other, and where will your precious freedom be then?”

What we have, is precious, use it for His Glory.
