Faith In Action ‘Sharing The Real Gift’

Everyone likes to receive gifts, the world has turned it into an art form. Christmas where we are to celebrate the Birth of Our Savior, has become now a gift fest, where people are deluded by commercialization to give. Christmas is God’s gift to us, His Son Christ Jesus.

Easter where we celebrate the Power of The Cross, has become an Easter bunny fest, and has most people looking like bunnies.

Valentines day a day to express love, but will end up that no real substance of love is conveyed, because of the saturation of commercialization.

The gift of giving, in today’s society is really being pushed by consumerism and ‘what is in it for me syndrome’.

The Gift of God is eternal life, transformation and the awesomeness of being in His Presence, moving in the Fruit, He has created for ‘any whosoever’ who accepts to use and walk in. Galatians 5 verse 22 and 23:

V 22: “The fruit of The Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith”, V 23: “gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law”.

Psalm 104, about God and His creation {us}, we realize we have some wonderful responsibilities to fulfill. The first is our giving ourselves back to Him, and that must only be to Glorify The Lord.

V33: “I will sing to The Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God while I live.” V34: “May my meditation be pleasing to Him, I will rejoice in The Lord”.

Giving ourselves back to Him, beginning with our bodies, our minds, our abilities, our processions. We must gratefully accept, all Our Lord and Our Friend, has graciously given us and use those gift to glorify Him, and not to please just ourselves.

So Christians should be people instead of waiting to receive gifts, should be using and moving in the gifts, He has for our lives. It is a different concept, instead of looking for gifts, we should be living the Gift John 3 verse 16: and one of the greatest pleasures, we can have is seeing others accept the Gift of eternal life.

What a marvelous gift is His Creation. We need to get back to giving our all for His creative purposes for our lives, and offering Him The Gift of our worship and praise.

The more we live in thanks to Him, the less we will be exploited by the world’s commercialization of giving. God is a giving God, we should be a giving people.

God Bless.
