His Unending Story

faith

The story of Jesus doesn’t end with Jesus, it continues in the lives of those that believe in Him. When we receive Christ, we are actually receiving the Holy Spirit, who applies the finished work of Christ Jesus to our lives.

Through the Holy spirit, Jesus comes to live with in us. as we live in reverent obedience and faith, we are filled with the Spirit, allowing us to live under His influence.

How shall we then live? It is no longer I that live but Christ that lives in me.

The great yearning in our society, for spiritual things, leads people to find the wrong side of a spiritual life. A song or chorus that is constantly with me is “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable unto you You Oh Lord” and also “With Christ in my vessel I can smile at the storm”

The first most natural by product of Christ in our lives is to have a song in our hearts.

In Ephesians 5 verse 18 to 20 {Message Bible}  “Don’t drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of god, huge draughts of Him. Sing hymns instead of drinking song1 sing songs from the heart to Christ. Sing praises over everything, any excuse for a song to God the Father in the name of of our master, Jesus Christ.”

one of the first evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit is a singing heart. The Book of acts 2 verse 13: They were filled with the Holy spirit and appeared to be drunk, but it was more of being overcome by the Holy Spirit, taking up residence. Peter goes on to explain, from the Book of Joel, that this was prophecyed .

Jesus finished what He came to do on the cross, now it is through the Holy spirit, we are to minister and be ministered to. We need to understand that god deals with individuals, not masses. His Power is not promulgated by official decrees, or what comes through the media. He comes to each one of us. You are a unique individual. you have a history and emotional life all your own. God now through your acceptance of what Our Lord and Our Friend {Christ Jesus} did on the cross, operates ultimate relationship with you, just as you are.

That is where He starts His work in your life, just as you are, and from there He wants to take you on to His plans and purposes for your life.

But even though we have accepted him, we must be willing to change for the wonderful calling He has for each of our lives.

So remember when we Believe Christ Jesus , we are actually receiving The Holy Spirit, who applies the finished work of Christ Jesus to our lives.

God Bless.
