Excitement From 2 Thessalonians

2 thess

Written by Paul, as a sequel to Paul’s First Letter to The Thessalonians. It was written a few months later while Paul is in Corinth.

it has been passed on to Paul, that some in Thessalonica have misunderstood his teaching about the second coming of Christ. The misinterpretation had some believing the second coming was any moment, and had caused some to stop working and just sitting around waiting. While others are seeing their continued persecution as signs this must be happening soon. 2 Thessalonians is a response to their misinterpretations.

The point is Christ Jesus will come again, for those who are looking forward to His return, there will be signs to indicate His return, but we should all just be living a life that is worthy of His Calling.

Paul reminds the church that God is a God of judgement and those who are causing the suffering will one day be judged.

Key verses: 3 verse 3  “But The Lord can be trusted to make you strong and protect you from harm.”

3 verse 13  “Brothers {and sisters} do not grow weary in doing good.”

2 Thessalonians in a Nutshell.

Chapter 1 verses 1 to 12: Keep going – Jesus is coming.

Chapter 2 verse 1 to 12 Beware of the lawless person.

Chapter 2 verse 13 and 3 verse 5 Keep the faith.

Chapter 3 verses 6 to 18 Work Hard.

And A final Greeting: 3 verse 16 “May the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”.

He is the Lord of Peace, hold on to this it is a wonderful promise of the companionship with  Our Lord and Our Friend.

Remember one thing from 2 Thessalonians  “THE LORD WILL RETURN AND JUSTICE WILL BE DONE.”

Read the excitement in, 2 Thessalonians and enjoy and soak in the Peace that has been so freely given.

God Bless.
