Philippians 3 verse 8: “More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them fifth so I may gain Christ.”
Full commitment, Full Consecration. The surpassing knowledge of knowing Christ Jesus, as Our Savor, Our Redeemer, Our Lord and Our Everything. Christianity is not a religion, it is a life style of growing in the wondrous things of God.
We can learn all the world knows about Christianity, and have nothing, because Christianity is about relationship with the God that Created us. It is a growing relationship in the knowledge of His love for us.
It is a calling, when Jesus called His disciple they gave up everything to follow, it is a willingness to be a vessel for Him. Just as Jesus had to sacrifice all to be a perfect offering to God, so we His followers must give up everything, that would separate us from a life journey with Him.
The Apostle Paul found this truth, to count all things but loss for Our Lord and Our Friend, and this was the prime purpose of his life. It must be ours also if we we are to fully share the Power of a resurrected life.
Paul goes on to say in verse 9: “And be found in Him {Christ Jesus}, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ Jesus—the righteousness from God based on faith.”
We have been made righteous IN Christ Jesus, no wonder Paul said, ‘I also consider everything to be a loss, to know more about Him’.
Full Commitment, Full Consecration. The Joy that is set before us all In Christ Jesus.
God Bless.
