Dealing With Difficulties ‘Grief’

On our journey through life, we can expect, to go through many things, ‘Grief’ is one of those things, we would like to avoid. But because in the natural everybody is going to die, there will be grief.

The Good News is when a believer dies, it is more like a promotion to glory. Of course there will be pain, because we can’t see our loved one, but there should be joy, because the loved one has reached their eternal destiny. That is Grief through loss.

Grief through other circumstances, eg. illness, relationship breakdowns, and even financial troubles can be just as much as painful. As believers we have an Ever-present God and Friend in our time of need. The Old Hymn, we used in one of our  ‘Hymns of Our Forefathers articles, “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”.

As believers we belong to a body of believers, that just don’t come together for a religious observance, we come as a body of believers, to worship our Creator God, but also to commune with other believers.

Scriptures speak of the Unity Yet Diversity in The Body of Christ in:

1 Corinthians 12 verse 12 to 31:

The believers are describes as a Body. Just as there can be pain in one part of the human body, and because the Body is resilient, other parts of The Body help deal with it. Sometimes the human body needs help from a specialist. So it is in The Body of Christ {Bible believing Christians who have accepted Christ Jesus as their Lord, Savior, Redeemer and Friend}, But we have a specialist in an Ever-present Lord and Friend available to us.

Grief don’t go through it alone, take it to The Lord in prayer, talk with a trusted friend,talk with a Pastor or Minister, who can pray and stand with us in what we are going through.

Grief is real, it is an emotion, we all go through sometimes, but the word to remember is ‘Through’. Psalm 23;

V4: “Even though I go through the darkest valley {can be grief}, I fear no danger, for You are with me; Your Rod and Your Staff they comfort me”.

Grief is real, but we should not let it consume us, as we have God who loves us greatly, only to willing to help, if we take it to Him in prayer {communication with Him}.

God Bless.
