I know we’ve already asked a question on Sin, and your replies were great. Today I just want to ask a question in regards to one other sin, the worst sin as Jesus labels it.
MATTHEW 12:31
And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
This begs the question of what is Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? And why can’t it be forgiven? It would have to be pretty bad, if our God, the God who is love couldn’t forgive it. Surely you’d have to deliberately do it. I doubt you could accidently.
I heard a theory that said that the only reason Jesus wouldn’t forgive you is because you would never seek forgiveness for it.
What do you think, what do you think it is, how bad do you think it has to be, and what do you think of that theory?
