Scripture Of The Week – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

1 Thessalonians 5 verse 18

“Give thanks, in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

If we read verses 16 and 17 before, we will see a recipe for overcoming.

Verse 16 Rejoice Always.

Verse 17 Pray Constantly.

Paul tells us to be joyful, prayerful and thankful. Rejoice, Pray, Give Thanks, always, constantly, in everything.

The Bible does not tell us to be thankful for everything. There are somethings that are extremely bad. But the Bible does tell us to be thankful IN everything.

God doesn’t send bad things to happen, they happen because we are apart of a fallen world.

God’s Kingdom is not of this world and we are passing through to our destination Eternity with God. Once we accept Christ Jesus, He is with us all the way through and we will be in eternity with Him. This is why we can give thanks IN everything, because it doesn’t matter what we go through, Our Lord and Our Friends always with us.

See the difference, we are not thankful for everything, there are bad and good circumstances, but we can be thankful IN any circumstance, for God {Our Lord and Our Friend} will never leave us or forsake us.

Rejoice for the battle has been won.

Pray talk constantly with Our Lord and Our friend.

Give Thanks for what he has done for us.

The opposite to looking down is looking up and we can look up, no matter what we are going through, by Rejoicing with, Praying to, and Giving thanks to the God that created each one of us.

Remember He Loves us Too Much for us to fail.

God bless.
