If this is your day for rest, like us all you still need encouragement, be encouraged today by this wonderful verse from Acts 1 verse 8:
Acts 1 Verse 8:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
These were Christ Jesus last words before He ascended into heaven.
Shouldn’t this His last words be our first concern. The command to go, to the places near us, to place not so near, to place we might not suspect we should go, and go everywhere possible, under the Power and influence of The Holy Spirit.
Acts 1 verse 8: we could say is a passing of the baton, between God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit. Jesus said He would send a comforter and a helper, we are never alone, without The Presence of God around our lives.
The Book of Acts is about people, concerned with what Christ Jesus wanted done, to spread the message of Salvation to all the world. We might not be able to go ourselves, there needs to be people keeping the home fire burning so to speak, but what stops us being active in the communities around us.
The Body Of Christ, needs to be on fire with passion and power of The Holy Spirit to find the lost, no matter where they are. Matthew 9 verse 37:
V37: “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few.
Acts 1 verse 8; Is quite clear, it represents Christ Jesus’ agenda, for the duration of all history, until He returns again. Should it not be our personal agenda and mandate, in every day of our lives? Should it not be that our lives should be lived under the Power and guidance of The Holy Spirit.
Our communities would be different, and the enthusiasm that comes with the passion to make Our Lord and Our Friend’s last earthly command, our first concern, would see the world change from personal agendas to His agenda for the lost, that people be born a new, into relationship and fellowship with the God that created them and gave Himself for them, because they are all ‘whosoevers’
A ‘whosoever’ Needs to hear the Message of John 3 verse 16: His Command, Our First Concern.
Be Blessed today And Everyday,
