Good Success

Isaiah 9:7 “of the increase (abundance) of His government and of peace, there will be no end” NKJV

Joshua 1:8 tells us that as we mediate on the Word of God, day and night, as we speak His words and obey what is written therein, then we will make our way prosperous, and we will have good success – not just success; but good success.

3 things – meditate on the Word, Speak the Word and obey the Word – then He will make our way prosperous.

Prosperous = successful, thriving. Some other words relating to prosperous; affluent, fortunate, booming, rich, comfortable, robust, wealthy, flourishing.

Some think that prosperity is simply to do with money but 3 John 2 talks about being in good health, even as our soul prospers. Our soul consists of mind, emotions and will. Our Lord and friend wants us to prosper, to flourish, to be robust in our emotions and in our thinking as well.

One of my favorite scriptures is 3 John 2 “Beloved above all I pray that you would prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers”. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 tell us “May your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus”. I believe the Lord wants us to thrive in our whole being. Spirit, soul and body. He came to give us life abundantly. John 10:10

Always remembering Deuteronomy 8:16 “And you shall remember the Lord your God for it is He who gives you the power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant”. He is the One who leads, guides and empowers; and He is the One Who deserves all the glory.
