Trusting Our Lord and Our Friend, from which steadfastness will grows.
Steadfastness will be necessary for us all to grow in the Fruits of The spirit, as listed in Galatians 5 verse 22.
The Fruits of The Spirit are; Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faith, Gentleness and self Control.
One of the hardest challenges for business owners and employers these days is to find trustworthy employees, especially managers. Even though trustworthiness is not listed as one of The fruits of The Spirit, it can be characterized by an excellence of Spirit. The Fruits of the Spirit being characterized through our lives.
Trust in God (Our lord and Our Friend) and let Him lead our lives and The fruits will automatically grow in our lives.
We then will become sought after people, to people seeking employees. One of the most important concepts to realize when we are employed as well, is even though we are employed by various people and businesses, we are working as ambassadors of Our Lord and Our friend.
If we are to use an example from scripture, we only need to turn to Daniel. Daniel chapter 6 verse 1 to 3.
When Darius the Mede conquered Babylon, he needed experienced trustworthy people to look after the province for him. So he selected one hundred and twenty provincial governors known as satraps which means “protectors of the kingdom”. Over these he placed three governors, including Daniel.
Why Daniel? Because an excellent spirit was with him. That is, he was trustworthy. His reputation was above reproach. He was known to be above bribery and extortion, which was a common problem among officials of the day.
Daniel’s ethical character so distinguished him from the other officials that Darius intended to place him over the whole realm.
Are you characterized by an “Excellent Spirit”, a reputation for trustworthiness and ethical integrity? If responsibility has been entrusted to you, are you honoring that trust by faithful, conscientious service?
Consider Daniel as a model for your life and work hard to emulating his Godly “work style”
God Bless.
