If this is your day for rest.like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged by this wonderful verse from Matthew 4 Verse 17:
Matthew 4 Verse 17: “From that time on Jesus began to preach, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near’.”
In Jesus’ day, many people would say ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ instead of ‘Kingdom of God’ in order to avoid using God’s name. So when The Lord proclaimed, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Jesus was saying that God’s Kingdom had come near.
Jesus’ coming to earth, was promised, but His coming was an invasion. He was invading to establish His Kingdom.
God’s Kingdom, The Kingdom Of Heaven, is not some far off place, where those that believe in Him will go some day. Jesus came to rule in and through His believers hearts.
Jesus is King of Kings, Lord of Lords, brought His Kingdom, His rule and reign to earth. His Kingdom is any place where people {any whosoever John 3 verse 16} live under his lordship, and where His Love, His Joy, His Peace, His Goodness, His Wholeness, His Justice, His kindness are the order of the day.
It is His plan that we live in His kingdom now. On day He will usher it in fully. But for now we are to live in our here but not yet home.
An old song, ‘The Kingdom Of God Is Within Me” to change our lives, to live His Plans and Purposes for our lives. {Jeremiah 29 Verse 11}. His plans and purposes for our lives, are for our good and not for our ruin.
