Colossians 3 Verse 12: “Therefore God’s Chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience”.

Fear of abandonment and our thinking cause us to dress in protective clothing. We clothe ourselves in frustration, fear cynicism and unpleasantness.

It is heavy clothing to wear, which really hurts others more than it protects us. Only after we unclothe ourselves of all the fears and hurts, can we effectively deal with the real hurts inside.

In our hearts we can clothe our emotions with distrust.

In our attitudes we can clothe our thoughts with cynicism.

In our relationships we can clothe our reactions with insecurity

Jeremiah 52 Verse 33: “So Jehoiachin changed his prison clothes and dined regularly in the presence of the King”.

The Old Testament brings us Types and Shadows of what is in the new testament.

Let us change our prison clothes, the clothes of frustration, fear and cynicism, and as God’s chosen IN Christ, “Put on Heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience”.

Living in new clothes Our Lord and Our Friend has made for us, to be His vessels of purpose in wearing them.
