Sunday Encouragement

If this is your day for rest, like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged today by this wonderful verse from 1 Corinthians 3 verse 1:1

Corinthians 3 Verse 1:

V1 ” Brothers {Sisters}, I was not able to speak to you as spiritual people but as people of the flesh, as babies in Christ”.

The tragedy is that in some Christian’s lives is they don’t reach their full potential for God in life. We all seem to settle for a safe level of Christianity and not clamor for the extraordinary.

Sometimes we get stuck on the processed food, the safe things to believe.

! Corinthians 3 verse 1 to 3:

V1 ” Brothers {Sisters}, I was not able to speak to you as spiritual people but as people of the flesh, as babies in Christ. V2 I fed you milk, not solid food, because you were not yet able to receive it. In fact, you are still not able, V3 because you are still fleshly. For since there is envy and strife among you, are you not fleshly and living like ordinary people.”

When people think of babies, we think how cute, but if the baby was to remain a baby, beyond a number of years, we would be seeking medical advice.

Carnality of worship, and our learning, can keep us in a baby state for a long time. If we reflect on this babyish state of mind, we could find that the believer at that level, does not know how to feed on the Word of God for themselves. As a result, their personal relationship with Our Lord and Our Friend, is not growing.

All relationships need to grow deeper, and how much we grow depends on each one of us, and in our relationship with God, he will never force feed anyone,

Because many are happy to live in this settled state, they have no personal knowledge and contact with the God of The Word, The Christ of Salvation They lack wisdom, discernment and discipline, to grow in the fullness of life that is available to them.

If people remain in this carnally minded Christian state, they are not walking by the Spirit of Christ or in the Spirit.

A Christian life is a calling and a following, which requires continual growth, and we should never choose to live in anything less than growing in the fullness of God’s Word,

By not living, doing and representing ourselves according to what Our Lord and Our Friend wants for our lives, we are in fact living in rebellion, which is lawlessness, which is sin and will lead us to death.

Our Lord and Our Friend has so much, for each one of lives, let us all become people growing in this potential He has for each one of us. We can never out grow this potential, God has for any of us, because we will never be able to full understand the vastness of God, until we see Him in Glory.
