Sunday Encouragement

If this is your day for rest, you still need encouragement. Be encouraged today, by this wonderful verse from 1 Corinthians 10 Verse 31:

1 Corinthians 10 verse 31: “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God’s glory”.

We all at times, get caught up in our own little world, we forget our purpose and destiny in life, to bring Glory to our Father in heaven.

We were created for purpose and destiny, purpose to commune with Our Lord and Our Friend, destiny to live in eternity with Him. Sometimes we settle, in place were we feel comfortable.

The Christian life is not a life of keeping the wagons circled, it is a journey of us going, and growing. In a book I read for my ministry studies, called ‘Taking Our Cities For God, we could extend that to taking the communities around us, there is always things we can be doing for the Kingdom of God. The most important thing we can do is praying for those around us,

We have missed out on so much when it comes to engaging within our society, but in our efforts to do something, we can’t engage in social action programs at the expense of witness, about Him. Social action without The Gospel is little more than sanctified humanism.

Do we even take the time for others? Do we take the time to witness through social action? Social action is a ‘catch cry’, among many interest groups, but if for a Christian to engage in social action without the Gospel, we are not truly representing who we are. {Ambassadors for God’s kingdom}.

The Gospel message must be a vibrant part of our social action activities, without it we lose the heart of our message. Our Lord came to walk among us, He didn’t yell the salvation message from heaven, He showed us how to walk the talk, and talk the walk.

The world is about business, and we can easily get caught up in the business of the world. We are not to be about the business of the world, we are to be about Our Heavenly Father’s business. Matthew 6 verse 33;

The world judges people by their affluence, what they have achieved and accumulated, but a Christian response can be summed up in Acts chapter 3 verse 6: We don’t have much of the world’s ways in us, but we have the compassion and power of the Kingdom of God, out of that we respond to the needs of those around us.

The world’s system, tries to bring fear and oppression, The Message of the Gospel, is to bring, New life, faith and trust in a loving God. If we believe in The Gospel of Conversion and transformation , we need to preach it wherever we go, in Word and Deed.
