Attempt And Expect

expect

WE have used a Motto attributed to William Carey, “Attempt great things for God, expect great things from God”, in our articles before. This motto would provide a very good description of King David early years as king.

Initially. King David’s rule extended only over the tribes of Judah, with the death of Ishbosheth, all Israel transferred their allegiance to King David.

After making Jerusalem his new capital David wastes no time in bringing the Ark of God back from Kiriathjearim where it had been for years.

Intent on building a beautiful house for God, David learns that God will build an eternal house for him instead.

King David moves speedily to impliment his godly convictions both politically and religiously, reversing the godless influences of his predecessor , Saul.Although God would not let him fulfill certain dreams {such as building the temple} he never stopped David for his motives or discouraged him from attempting other great enterprises for Him.

WE all have dream, but do we have dreams about how God might use us. Dare to let Him use our skills and our talents to make impact in your family, your church, your neighborhood, your town {city} for Our Lord and Our Friend. Allow Our Lord and Our Friend to implant a dream for His glory then dream it, plan it, pursue it, and as He enables, Achieve it.

God Bless.
