Self Control being responsible for one’s own actions. Galatians 5 verse 22: lists the Fruits Of The Spirit. The last one but not the least, because they are all as important as each other is ‘Self Control’.
Galatians 5 verse 24: Tells us; “That those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. And we continue to crucify the flesh as we set our minds on the things of the Spirit. By continually doing this, our awareness of God will become more attuned that we will want to do His will instead of satisfying our own desires.
Each time we exercise self-control we grow stronger in Our Lord and Our Friend.
Each time we exercise self-control we invite peace to settle over our live.
Each time we exercise self-control we will avoid condemnation that comes from knowing, we have done wrong.
Each time we exercise self-control, we display the fruit that brings honor to God The Father.
In 2 Peter 1 verse 5 to 7: Tells us to supplement our faith, and one of the ways to supplement our faith is through self-control.
We can’t come along to the fruit basket and pick and chose the Fruit, we need to be growing in all the fruit, so that our Lord and Our Friend can be glorified in all our loves.
The Fruit of The Spirit are: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faith, Gentleness, Self-control. Be blessed as we allow them to grow in our lives.
