Hebrews 13 verse 5: ” Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you”.
In Jesus we should have satisfaction guaranteed, the guarantee is not in worldly commodities or things, but it is in Who Jesus is and what He has done for our lives.
Reading Philippians chapters 1 and 2: The Apostle Paul reveals some interesting insights, about contentment in life regardless of circumstances. Paul was imprisoned in Rome, for crimes of sharing his faith. Paul revealed his secret for contentment. because learnt to be content in ever situation. Paul had experienced poverty and wealth, being hungry, and eating well. Paul had been who two opposing circumstances, one of being praised and the other of being stoned and left for dead.
Paul had been through all sorts of circumstances good an bad, but he had a contentment throughout. Paul secret in contentment was that he had confidence that he could endure anything through his dependence on Christ Jesus.
We also can find contentment in any of our circumstances, when we don’t depend on other people, In Christ Jesus we have all we need for any circumstances, and our self-sufficiency, becomes complete in Christ Jesus’ sufficiency.
We no longer live, but Christ lives in us. Dead people don’t complain, they have found there peace.
