Sunday Encouragement

encourage

“Be thou an example of the believers in word, in conversion, in charity, in Spirit, in Faith and in purity.”  1 Timothy 4 verse 12.

Leaders should always lead by personal example, and that example should extend far beyond the nature of the task at hand. People pattern their motives and values after the people who bring leadership to their lives, whether direct influence, like teacher, pastor, work supervisor, sports coach or indirect like a medical practitioner, community leader or even politician.

The apostle Paul recognized this when he wrote, Philippians 3 verse 17:

“Join in imitating me, brothers {and sisters], and observe those who live according to the example you have in us.”

Paul encouraged others to follow his example. what sort of example do you set for others? Are you aware of how you influence other people? Are you close enough to the people around you, and in touch enough with your own tendencies. to have confidence in how others might follow you?

God Bless.
