Weekend Inspiration

inpirations

Our weekend inspiration again comes from our good friend of the ministry John H. We know how much OFJ, enjoys the times of fellowship, prayer and praise, when John H, comes to visit, so we are sure that you will enjoy, this article by our good friend, called Grace.

One way of describing God’s Grace is what He does for the unsaved after Christ died for them. There is a difference between His Grace and His Mercy. His Mercy can be described as a fruit of Grace.

Ephesians 2 verse 1 and Colossians 2 verse 13, say we are dead in our trespasses and sins. We can’t help ourselves. We are born sinners. Sin has come down the generations in our spiritual genes, as it were, ever since the fall of the human race in Adam and Eve. We are all In Adam. ‘For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive’‘  The first Adam became a living being, the last Adam became a life giving Spirit. The first man of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.’ 1 Corinthians 15 verse 45 to 47:

God’s mercy and forgiveness alone cannot save us. We would still be In Adam and In sin. God is absolute Holiness and Righteousness, and sin a complete offence to Him, so God’s Grace cannot operate to save us until there is a complete, in full, solution to our sin problem. Grace is the unmerited and unearned favor of God. We can’t earn it, we’re just not good enough, and we don’t deserve it. So, how do we get out of being In Adam, to being In Jesus Christ.

The Word says, ‘The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life In Christ Jesus’. Romans 6 verse 23:So how do we get out of being in Adam to being In Jesus Christ? Well, the wages of sin is death, so God sent Jesus to die for our sins, so that when we repent and surrender into Him, our sins could be taken off us and put on Jesus. Why? Because He died for them. He paid the penalty of death for us. Jesus had to be sinless, otherwise He would have died for His own sins. He had to become a man to die, otherwise He could not die. He is eternal. So, in the great exchange, He took our sins and fifth off us and killed them, and in return, He gave us God’s Righteousness in the form of The Holy Spirit, so that we are  ‘born again’ of The Spirit, in accordance with John’s Gospel Chapter 3.

Remember Jesus said that unless we are born of The Spirit, we won’t see The Kingdom of God. Also we are now saved because we are In Christ. “If anyone be in Christ, he {or she} is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.’ 2 Corinthians 5 verse 17: “It is no longer I that live, but it’s Christ that lives in me ….” Galatians 2 verse 20: Other religions ask you to believe something, Christianity asks you to receive Someone, Christ Jesus.

Be Bless Today and Everyday.
