TODAY’S SPEECH THROUGH GOD-SPEAK

When modern people observe something amazing happen in their lives,

or force of nature that takes their breath away, they say they are Gob-smacked. What does that mean exactly? Mouths hanging open, tears falling with cries of delight or of horror, or perhaps silence from being speechless. Does feeling gob-smacked mean a WOW factor of awe at an event, a phenomenon, a powerful relationship, perhaps a disaster? Whatever it is, it is an effective word description.

My opinion is that the word should be among Christians as God-smacked at the biblical meanings and prolific wisdom, power and impact of a spiritual nature. The feelings written above apply to the words of Jesus in a WOW of inspiration. His teachings should be poured forth as a God-smacked example and unity of holiness with relevant power to reach hearts and minds to become God-smacked in awe. Such as written in Psalm 107: from verse 33.

“He turned rivers into a desert, flowing springs into thirsty ground and fruitful land into a salt waste because of the wickedness of those who lived there. He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs, there he brought the hungry to live and they founded a city where they could settle. They sowed fields and planted vineyards that yielded a fruitful harvest, and blessed them and their numbers increased and he did not let their herds diminish. When their numbers decreased and they were humbled by oppression, calamity and sorrow. I call this situation decision of our Lord a God-smacked incident of life’s learning aspects. He is awesome, wondrous and almighty so make your spiritual life God-smacked NOW!
