Sunday Encouragement

If this is your day for rest, like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged today by this wonderful verse from Romans 8 Verse 28:

Romans 8 verse 28:

“We know that all things work together for good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose”.

And from the Amplified Translation, Romans 8 verse 28:

“We are assured and know that {God being a partner in their labor}, all things work together and are {fitting into a plan} for good to those who love God and are called according to {His} design and purpose”.

it is easy to quote it, but some would like to pick their ‘All Things’, but what about when it is our turn to suffer? Is there comfort in this passage?

All things work together for ‘good’ but not all things are good. The loss of income, physical illness, family breakdown, are not good things. In fact, often they are direct result of evil. As believers we are never promised immunity from the problems and pains of the world. everyday we must put up with so much that is not good.

Nevertheless, good can come out of bad! This verse promises that God uses all circumstances of our lives, both good and bad, to shape outcomes that accomplish His purpose for us.

Again if we were to quote a scripture that is known so well, it is Jeremiah 29 verse 11., but can we quote verse 12:

“You will call to me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you”.

So you see, He knows the plans He has for us all. He said all things work to the good, and He said call Me, talk to Me and I will listen.

So how can you make this verse work for us, as we all will at times face tough times.

Affirm our trust in Our Lord and Our Friend’s presence around our lives, and accept the reliability of His promises to us.

Somehow when we get a better understanding of this Scripture Romans 8 verse 28. We may get a better understanding of what Our Lord and Our Friend stated in Mark 9 verse 23:

“All things {Everything} is possible to the one who believes”
