Faith In Action ‘No Need To Compromise’

The life of Daniel was such. Daniel was a young adult when his people were taken captive into Babylonia.

Most people would think if they were in a place of exile and their captors wanted to feed them rich foods, it would be a good thing. But not Daniel, the Babylonians tried to feed him rich foods that were against his upbringing. Daniel asked to be fed vegetables and fruit, He also influence the guards to do the same for his friends.

The Book of Daniel Chapter 1 verse 8: Daniel determined that he would not defile himself with the king’s food or with the wine he drank. So he asked permission from the chief official not to defile himself.”

God had granted Daniel favor and compassion from the chief official. Next Daniel and his friends began to serve in the king’s court.

Daniel 1 verse 19 and 20: “So they began to serve in King Nebuchadnezzar’s court. In every matter of wisdom and understanding that the king consulted them about, he found them 10 times better than all the diviner-priest and mediums of his entire kingdom.”

That did not impress the Babylonian locals. they set a trap, convincing King Nebuchadnezzar to give an order for everyone, including Daniel and his people who were in captivity, to bow down to an idol.

Daniel 3 verse 4: “A herald loudly proclaimed, ‘People of every nation and language, you are commanded; When you hear the sound of horn, flute, zither, harp, drum and every kind of music, you are to fall down and worship the gold statue that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.”

Daniel and his friends refused, His friend were thrown into a fiery furnace, and not only surviving, but not even smelling of smoke. {3 verse 26}. Daniel was eventually thrown into a lions den, for repeatedly not compromising himself. The Lions didn’t eat him or harm him, but his accusers were not so blessed {6 verses 19 to 24}.

Daniel gives us some awesome example of faith and trust in The God that he served. Daniel displayed to all he come in contact with God’s ways are best. We might not understand the ways Our Lord and Our Friend is taking us, but our faith should be His way or no way.

Hebrews 13 verse 6: “Therefore we may boldly say, ‘The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. what can man do to me.”

God Bless.
