We are not on this earth for long, the body we live in will one day give up and our Spirit and Our souls will be taken to eternity. Whether that is an eternity with the God that created us, which is what we were born for, or an eternity where the Love God is missing, which is really to horrific to think of.

1 Peter 1 verse 24 and 25:

V 24; “For all flesh is like grass, and all its glory like a flower of the grass. The grass witheres, and the flower drops off,’

“V25; “but the Word of The Lord endures forever”.

Mankind is like grass, grass withers, but what is of the Lord last forever. Some people might be offended by that, but it has always been said there are only two certainties in life, death and taxe

Therefore let us consider ourselves as grass. Be not proud or presumptuous, be not confident of a long continuance here. We must expect to wither and should prepare accordingly, and lay up none of our hopes and plans in the world.

The Good News is we were born for eternity. We were created in the image of God, as a three part being, Body, Soul, and Spirit. The Body is the tent, we live in, our Spirit and our Souls.

In John 14 1 to 4:

V1 “Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me {Jesus}”.

V2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places, if not, I would have told you, I am going to prepare a place for you”.

V3: “I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also”.

V4: “You know the way where I am going”.

We have an immortal soul, which was created to live in Fellowship and Reverence of Our Creator.

The only way to render this perishing creature incorruptible is to receive The Word of God, for that remains everlasting truth and if received will preserve us to everlasting life and abide with Him forever.

In this fragility of life, once we had no hope, because of sin {rebellion and wrong-doing against God}, but we now have been offered Hope. The Word of God and The Message it contains, is our Everlasting fountain of comfort.
