Love That Surpasses All

surpasses

Ephesians 3 verse 19: Tells us: To Know The Messiah Love, that surpasses all knowledge.

Today’s society often describes love in terms of passion, sexuality and blind devotion. By this measure, love is little more than an uncontrollable attraction towards another person that ebbs and flows unconsciously. This sort of love looks only for it’s own gain and can walk away if it demands and needs go unmet or unsatisfied.

To know The Messiah’s love, it is a redeeming and forgiving love, and the payment for Redemption is paid for by God Himself, and not the person being redeemed or forgiven.

The scripture verse we use all the time, John 3 verse 16: “For God so loved that He gave.” Why would the creator of everything need to pay the price, for wrong-doings against Him. He didn’t need to, but out of His great Love for His creation, {that you and me} He did.

1 Corinthians 13: is known as the Love chapter, because of it’s powerful description of Love. While reading this chapter, keep in mind that is is easy to talk about love, it is much harder to do the hard work of living it.

Love that surpasses knowledge as God intended is more than just passion, romantic feeling, or sentiment. This love requires commitment, sacrifice and service, this kind of love benefits the giver and the receiver, it is never one sided Love.

1 John 4 verse 7: {Amplified Bible}: “Beloved, let us love one another; for love [springs] from God, and he {or she} who loves [his or her fellow men] is begotten [born] of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God — to perceive and recognize and get a better and clear knowledge of Him.”

Love that surpasses knowledge starts, with knowing the reality that God loves us. “Jesus loves me this I know, because the Bible tells me so.” 1 John 4 verse 19:

We would all liked to be loved the way it is described in 1 Corinthians 13. That sort of Love that surpasses all knowledge, starts by Accepting, Our Lord, Our redeemer and Our Friend, and then committing ourselves to continually expressing that kind of love, to all you come in contact with, whether friend or foe.

God Bless.
