No Temptation

psalm 46

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape, so that you are able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10 verse 13.

We can expect temptation, if we are not being tempted perhaps we are not being as effective in our walk as we can be.

Why would the evil one who has limited resources aim his big guns at somebody who is living a half baked life.

With temptations there are the big ones, all done up glamorously to deceive and bring us down, lust, greed, pride, etc, but the less obvious is is to take us away from God.

Satan is limited in what he can do, he can get us to question what we believe or he can try to get our attention away from God.

Satan is the father of lies and his kingdom is of this world, so he doesn’t want anyone to escape from the world system, that is exactly what happens when we accept Christ Jesus we move to the Kingdom of God. {not literately, but spiritually} our spirit becomes alive to God Our Lord and Our Friend.

The father of lies {Satan]} hates this, he rebelled against God because he couldn’t get his own way. Satan is just a fallen angel {ark angel to be precise} but unfortunately a third of the angels fell with him. Satan has a team of deceivers, and they are on a destructive mission, everything they touch they pervert, corrupt and leave destroyed.

But the Promise for us is in The Lord, God is faithful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able. God will also provide a way to escape, so we are able to bear it.

Lets look at the bigger picture. God trusts us not to get to that point where He needs to help us.

We are called to greatness, don’t be conned by a puny self absorbing failure, who failed at being trusted by God and has been whaling ever since.

God {Our Lord and Friend} loves us and He is with us all the way. God has always had a plan and He will soon be finally putting that puny one in his place, a bottomless pit. Satan days are numbered.

We serve a Great God don’t be conned by that puny nobody.

God Bless.

  1. I once read a commentary of the temptations of Christ in the desert wilderness. It said, “The only power Satan has is the power of suggestion.” Tragically, that’s often enough to cause us to fall into sin.
