Never Be Dull

More than a dull faith

There is always a thought going around that churches are dull old religious places. Nothing could be further from the truth.

A good church should be teaching how much God loves us. The love of God is endless.

Early forefathers knew this when the catechism was drawn up, the first point made was: Q. 1. What is the chief end of man?

A.    Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.

Romans 11 verse 36: “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen”.

1 Corinthians 6 Verse 20: “Do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of The Holy Spirit”.

Philippians 4 Verse 4: “Rejoice in The Lord always. I will say again; Rejoice”.

The best way to rejoice is to know and understand how much Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend loves us.

God wants us to experience a satisfying, joyful life. But why? Is it for our own benefit to make us happy? Yes, He wants us to be blessed and enjoy our blessings, but there is a purpose for His goodness beyond simply making our lives on earth better. By adopting a Biblical worldview, we can see that God’s ultimate purpose for us— and the blessing He gives us—is to bring others to Him.

Perhaps we all need to saturate ourselves afresh in the goodness and love of God, so others can see this goodness and love in our lives and we ourselves can understand our greatest purpose in life is to, ‘Glorify our creator and enjoy Him forever’..

God Bless.
