Scripture Verse Of The Week ‘Matthew 22 Verse 36’

love

Matthew 22 verses 36

Jesus said “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

We are created in the image of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, So Jesus has addressed us as a three part being just as God is.
Love God with all your heart – This is the place in your life where intimacy starts. God wants us to love us intimately. This word intimately, is what Jesus means in Luke 13 verse 27; “But He will say, ‘I tell you, I don’t ‘Know’ you or where you,re from’.”   An intellect knowledge of God will not please Him.

Love God with all your soul. The soul realm is the day to day realm. Love God with everything you do and wherever you go. Make Our Lord and Our Friend apart of everything you do.

Love God with all your mind, all your intellect, but the world would tell you intellect doesn’t believe in God. Well we know from the birth of Jesus {God incarnate}, wise men, come to worship Him, so make a wise decision to love Him with all you have.

If we are to love God, with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our minds, you will understand the total reality of God’s Love. This is the way for us to love ourselves, because we would truly know what Love is.

Read also Deuteronomy 6 verse 5.

Then we can follow up the next command, love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22 verse39: “The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Let turn to Matthew 25 verse 34 to 36:   V34″ Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

V35. “For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in;

V36 “I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of Me; I was in prison and you visited Me.”

If we go down to verse 40, we read, “Whatever you did for one of the least brothers of mine, you did for Me”

Loving Our Lord and Our Friend with all our hearts, all our souls, and all our minds, and then loving someone else who needs love.

Take Time, To Reflect on how much God loves us, and by accepting Him as Our Lord and Our Savor, how much love He wants to lavish on us, let your love be as lavished towards our neighbors too.

God Bless.
