Faith In Action ‘Who We Are’

inChrist

The become a Christian is not just joining ‘Club Christian’,  We need to know and believe, who we are In Christ, {Romans 8 verse 1}

We need to understand ‘divine adoption’, and why being a Christian is a privilege. Let look a Galatians 3 verse 24 to 26:

V24: “The law, then was our guardian until Christ, so that we could be justified by faith”.

V25: But since that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,”

V26: “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.”

If we take a look back at Galatians 3  verses 10 to 18: subtitled in most Bibles, ‘Law and Promise’. In verse 16, it refers to Christ Jesus as your seed.

Going on to verse 19; , which comes under the subtitle of ‘The Purpose of the law’. If Jesus as ‘the seed’ gets all of Abraham’s promised blessing, then anyone who belongs to Christ through Faith automatically becomes an heir of the promises to Abraham.

The inheritance of the Promises, comes to us through Christ Jesus, we become God’s children legally. By receiving Christ Jesus, by repentance and acceptance, we become God’s Children.

The blessings from this acceptance of Christ Jesus, as Our Lord and Our Friend, have just begun. Galatians 4 verse 6 and 7:

V6: “And because you are sons {and daughters}, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying. Abba, Father!’

V7: “So you are no longer a slave, but a son {daughter}; and if a son [daughter], then an heir through God.”

By receiving Christ Jesus, we receive new status; and through the Spirit we become God’s Children experientially.

We become legal children, by receiving ‘divine adoption’  status, through repentance and acceptance.

We obtain to fullness of Christ living in our lives, by God sending the Spirit of His Son into our hearts.

If we want to grasp and understand why being a follower {Christian} is  such a privilege, we need to appreciate all that Christ Jesus has done for us, and Who He truly is.

God Bless.

  1. Too many who call themselves Christian are not really following the master teacher Jeshua or Jesus Christ. Not many do understand what it means to have ‘divine adoption’ and what attitude they should take, now they have become accepted to be children of God.
Lots of Christians still do not want to accept that a human being like the man from Nazareth could only do the Will of his heavenly Father and therefore make him a god. Those trinitarian Christians do not fully appreciate all that Christ Jesus has done for us, and who he truly is.
Let us hope much more people shall come to recognise who the Messiah is and what he really has done for humankind.
