Faith In Action ‘Being Above Board’

A funny saying, ‘Above Board’, but it is referring to, having integrity, in all we do. Integrity is a word with deep meaning, and if everybody practiced it, we have no need for law enforcement.

But unfortunately we are born into sin, and into a lost and fallen world.

1 John 1 verse 9: “If we say, ‘We have no sin’. we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us”.

1 John 1 verse 10: “If we say, ‘We have not sinned’, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us”.

If we say we have not sinned, we can not have integrity. But we serve a Just and Loving God.

1 John 1 verse 9: “If we confess our sins {wrong-doings}, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

Our Lord and Our Friend will forgive us, but we still remain sinners, but sinners saved by Grace. There are and maybe times when we do slip up, against the standards God wants us to keep. But if we confess our sins {wrong-doings} which take away from our efforts of walking integrally, Our Lord and Our Friend will forgive us.

The humanistic society  in which we live, is quiet judgmental on Christian beliefs, and always looking to find fault in anyone trying to live integrally.

When we look at the Ten Commandments {Exodus 20}, they are not overbearing laws, they are laws that build integrity with God and man. In the New Testament, Our Lord and Our Friend, gives us a new Commandment {John 13 verse 34} That we love one another as He loves us

The Christian life is a journey, a journey in which we should be seen walking integrally, because on our individual journey, we all walk through this life, as His Ambassadors.

Galatians 2 verse 20: “and i no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in The Son of God, who loved me and gave himself fro me”.

The world is looking for genuineness, the world is looking for people that are above board and walk their faith, as well as talk their faith.

God Bless.
