Open And Honest With Our God Who Loves Us God

It all comes down to choice. A choice of whom we serve. When we bring up the word Adultery, we most likely turns our thoughts to adultery between people. Adultery is a commonly used phrase in Scripture for the sin of God’s people when they turn or wander away from Him.

In the Book of Jame in the New Testament we find a description of adultery that might surprise us, James 4 verse 4 and 5:

V4: “Adulteresses! Do you know that friendship with the world s hostility towards God? So whoever wants to be the world’s friend becomes God’s enemy”.

V5: Or do you think it’s without reason the scripture say that the Spirit He has cause to live in us yearns jealously”.

It bis a sad truth that it is often when we need Our Lord and Our Friend most that we are least wanting to turn to Him, Our shame and our fear lead us to turn from Him, and from the very help we need. But James in 4 verse 6 to 12: is telling us, we just need to wake up to ourselves and be honest and humble with Our Lord and Our Friend.

Hebrews 4 verse 15: tells us, why we can come to Our Lord and Our Friend in all our difficult times:

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who  has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin”.

Even in our weaknesses and shame we can turn to Our Lord and Our Friend, and he is not the One we ask for help.

James 4 verse 10: “Humble yourselves before The Lord, and He will exalt you”.

Our Lord and Our Friend is all we need< he is our all-sufficiency, to seek help anywhere else, we are not being faithful to Him.

God Bless.
