Guilt can weigh us down, but remember Our Lord and Our Friend delights in forgiving repentant sinners {wrong doing against God].

1 John 1 verse 9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

Therefore, give Him the gifts of your brokenness and receive the refreshment of His forgiveness and acceptance.

Psalm 19 verse 13: {Message Bible}; “Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh! Keep me from stupid sins, from thinking I can take over your work. Then I can start this day sun-washed, scrubbed clean of the grim of sin”.

Proverbs 28 verse 13: {Message bible]: “You can’t whitewash your sins and get by with it, you find mercy by admitting and leaving them”.

Confessing our sin is not resolving not to sin anymore, it is discovering what God has resolved to do with us as sinners.

Psalm 51 verse 10: {Message Bible} “God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast  spirit within me”.

Our Lord and Our Friend, will give us a new start with genuine repentance, and with genuine repentance and a new start we can be free from guilt.

So what ever guilt tries to hold us back, repent and surrender it to Our Lord and Our Friend and accept the new start He gives us.
