The first four books of the New Testament are called the Gospels: Mathew, Mark, Luke and John. Gospel the Good News about Christ Jesus.
The first three Gospels are referred to as ‘The Synoptic Gospels’, this is from the Greek meaning viewed together.
The Gospels provide a narrative story in which the main character is Jesus. He is centered to the Gospels and is the central message of the Gospels of the Gospels is that Jesus, The Eternal son of God, became a man in order to save people from the punishment that awaits them because of sin.
The Synoptics record fulfillment of this promise in the life and mission of Jesus.
Jesus’ mission and for that matter Jesus, were rejected by most of those. He came to save. But the Gospels truly demonstrate who Jesus really was and is and what He came to do for those who would accept Him.
It is like time turned back because people these days have the same problem. It is strange with such a wonderful message of hope, people still like they did then, seek comfort where they can , often in superstitions and self serving religious practices . These practices only increase people fear for the future and the uncertainty of the present.
The Challenge has always been and somewhat still is, whether readers can see Jesus as He truly is and take the step of faith needed to accommodate the remarkable possibility that He Is God.
The Gospels are four remarkable testimonies of the life and mission of Christ Jesus, Our Lord and Our Friend.
Even though they are called the Synoptic Gospels, each Gospel sets out to achieve a specific goal and emphasize what would be the most instructive message about who Jesus truly is.
Mathew shows Jesus as King:
Mark shows Jesus as a servant:
Luke shows Jesus as the Perfect man:
John’s Gospel is unique, emphasizing Jesus as God’s divine Son. John wanted us all to see the deity of Jesus.
This is only a short outline of the Gospels, they introduce Jesus, God’s Son, who took upon Himself the sins of the world { including yours and mine}, so that we could be restored to relationship with Himself and God The Father.
Take the time to read all Four Gospels again, and embrace The Great Love< Jesus displayed, it is yours for the asking.
Jesus truly is a wonderful and majestic Savior and Our Lord And Our Friend.
God Bless.
