A wonderful Old Hymn is called: ‘I Surrender All To Jesus’.
The first verse of this hymn goes like this:
All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
in His Presence daily live.
That is a sermon in itself. The word surrender means: ‘to deliver up to the control or power of someone else’.
Really to accept Him as Our Lord, Our Savior, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, and it is a total pleasure to surrender to Him.
Jeremiah 29 verse 11: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ this is the Lord’s declaration–Plans for your welfare,not for disaster,to give you a future and a hope.”
Surrendering to Our Lord and Our Friend Who has given us a promise like that. He knows all about us, and if we accept Him and surrender our lives to Him, He will give us a future and a hope.
The final verse of this five verse hymn is:
All to Jesus I surrender:
Now I feel the sacred flame;
Oh the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His Name!
Surrendering to Our Lord and Friend, is not a binding thing, surrendering brings the greater joy of full salvation, where we truly let Him be Lord of our lives.
The Chorus of this wonderful Hymn is:
I surrender all, I surrender all, All to Thee my blessed Savior, I surrender all.
Surrender does not allow us to be vulnerable, but He always has us covered, and the benefits of living in Christ can never be fully comprehended.
God bless.
