In It Boots And All

Another way of putting it is ‘Don’t be a Mugwump Christian.’

A Mugwump is a bird that sits on a fence with a mug {head} on one side and it’s wump {rump} on the other side.

In other words don’t sit on the fence, and be someone who doesn’t commit to their convictions.

Christianity is not a spectator sport, we all need to be in the battle.

Sure it is good to watch somebody who is good at what they do, but God doesn’t have favorites. We are all expected to be good at what we do, because we do have the perfect helper {Our Lord and Our Friend}.

Galatians 6 verse 5  {Message Bible} “Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.”

The Bible message is clear, we are all Prophets, Priests and Kings. As prophets we bring a message of encouragement to everybody we meet. {we are never to be prophets of doom}.

As a Priest, if we see a problem we should offer help and if we can’t fix it we should be able to refer it to someone or our Christian family who can.

As Kings, we are to, as Romans 5 verse 17 says “reign in life through the one man Christ Jesus.” and from the Message Bible Romans 5 verse 17  “If death got the upper hand through one man’s wrongdoing, can you imagine the breathtaking recovery life makes, sovereign life, in those who grasp with both hands this wildly extravagant life-gift, this grand setting-everything-right, that the one man Jesus Christ provides?”

We are more than conquerors on our journey through life.

We should all be excited to be effective ambassadors in this world. It becomes easier when we learn to trust the guidance of Our Lord and Our Friend.

God Bless.
