Faith In Action – Our Joy

We have written many stories of faith in action. Faith in action should not only be our joy, it should be part of our very being.

Christianity is not an exclusive club it is open to All who believe in Our Risen Lord. Through driving a taxi I get great joy in sharing the goodness of Our Lord and Our Friend. There are many people out there hurting and don’t know where to turn. They are everywhere not just in my little corner of the world. They need to know somebody cares, they are looking for acceptance.

Jesus said in Mathew 11 verse 28 “come to Me, All of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Unless people know about Jesus, they probably are not familiar with this scripture verse. It is a verse we need to share. A good response to wake up in the morning with is “Good morning Lord” and acknowledge Him and what you can achieve together that day, Yes the Lord and you, The Lord and Me.

Each new day for us is a new day, new chances to learn, new chances to share more about Our Lord and Our Friend. Each new day brings new challenges, but challenges with the help of the Lord, and what all of us can do through His strength which He make available to all of us.

Mathew 11 verse 29 “All of you, take up my yoke, and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourself.”

Faith in action is about sharing our Faith, Faith in action is believing we truly have something to share. Faith in action is using that Faith to help lead someone to the God that created them.

Be enthusiastic step out in boldness to share the wonderful story of salvation, that will lead to a transformation in somebody life. This action of faith will lead to great encouragement and stronger faith in you own life.

Here is a short story that encouraged me when using my faith. I picked up a young lady Louise in the taxi to take her home. This was the second time I picked Louise up. Louise was going back to her home town to be with family and be treated for throat cancer. We talked about her family and how long the treatment would take. We arrived at her place I asked could I pray for her {because I believed that was what the Lord wanted me to do}. She readily agreed.  My prayer went something like this “I thank you Lord that I met Louise. Lord you know her problems, I ask you to comfort her, give her peace and strength for what is ahead. I thank you Lord that all things are possible to you and You will let Louise know how much You love her.”

With tears in Her eyes she thanked me. I turned to her and said I look forward to seeing you on your return, and thanked her for allowing me to use my faith by praying with her. Louise needed encouragement, I just happened to be the vessel Our Lord used.

We must be about His business, because we are now His hands and feet. Allow yourself to be used for His Glory.

God Bless.
