Find your balance in Me
Recently as I was reading a daily devotion, this topic came up. The comment was
that disappointments come in life, but we need to not allow them to distance us from
the Lord. Blessings also come, but again we need to not allow these to become
distractions that dull our awareness of His love.
As we keep our Lord and Friend at the center of our heart and lives, He will help us
navigate through every season of our souls. When we take time each day to
connect with Him, linger in His Presence and be aware of Him throughout our day,
we will find His peace guarding our hearts and minds as we “keep our minds stayed
on Him, trusting in Him.”
Isaiah 30:21 says “Your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, ‘this is the way,
walk in it’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.”
We keep our focus on Him and ‘remain in Him” 1 John 2, and His Anointing, Holy
Spirit leads us into all truth, bringing that balance into our thoughts and emotions.
Whether it be in relationships, finances, dreams or health, He is the “Friend who
sticks closer than a brother.” His love never fails.
Homeostasis is the body’s automatic process to keep our inner environment stable
and balanced. It adjusts internal conditions like temperature, water levels, and blood
sugar to stay healthy, even when the outside world changes. In the same way, we
have the Holy Spirit, the Comforter and Helper who is with us to keep the balance in
our hearts, in our spirit and soul as we navigate life. He is faithful in every situation
as we lean on Him. He brings wisdom, freedom, insight, strength and ‘peace that
passes understanding’.
‘May the God of hope fill you will all joy, and peace as you trust in Him. So that you
may overflow in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Shalom. Kath
