From The Heart

Trained by saving Grace

Titus 2:11-12 “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age” v. 13 “looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ.” NJKV

Last Sunday the sermon title was the Power of Grace and when this verse was mentioned, my ears tuned in. I was again reminded of the amazing power of grace. Not only does Grace bring salvation, but also is able to teach and empower us to live righteously and godly. John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Our Lord and Friend is full of grace and truth. He is the One who enables us to live righteously and godly in this present age. Oh the power of grace.

I love Titus 2:11-12 in the Passion Translation; “God’s marvelous grace has manifested in person, bringing salvation for everyone. This same grace teaches us how to live each day as we turn our backs on ungodliness and indulgent lifestyles, and it equips us to live self-controlled, upright, godly lives in this present age.” The title is ‘God’s Grace, Our Motivation.’ Grace motivates us. Grace teaches us. Grace equips us.

Thank You Holy Spirit. Spirit of Grace and Truth. You never leave us nor forsake us. You are our ever-present Helper in time of trouble.

We are invited to come boldly and freely to the Throne of Grace so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Oh what a Saviour. Thank You Lord.

I pray this week that you will receive and know, personally and practically, the amazing Grace supplied in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Shalom.
